Join grotto sapphic bar and the Lesbian Bar Project for a one-night-only exclusive summer party at the Turk’s Inn in Bushwick, sponsored by Jägermeister, to celebrate LBP’s recently launched documentary, ‘FLINTA’, which documents the complex and triumphant stories of the FLINTA (Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-Binary, Trans, Agender) communities in Cologne & Berlin; a reflection of where the queer community is headed internationally.

Our vibes for the night take inspiration from iconic Berlin nightlife venues like Berghain, but in typical grotto fashion we’re taking those all-black leather daddy vibes and making them sapphic and sultry. Come dressed to impress, in less.

This late night party starts at 10PM, with activations both inside the Turk’s Inn and on their open air rooftop, including Japanese Shibari rope tying, DJ sets, flash tattoos, live performances, and more.

ABOUT LBP: The Lesbian Bar Project is an Emmy, Webby, and GLAAD Media Award-Winning Docuseries. The Lesbian Bar Project was founded in the US by New York filmmakers Erica Rose and Elina Street to celebrate, support, and amplify the remaining Lesbian Bars that exist in the United States.

On July 11th, LBP is launching another philanthropic effort for the bars with the release of two T-Shirts. The first shirt will be an original design by actor, writer, activist Liv Hewson. The second shirt will be a re-release of an old LBP shirt co-designed by KidSuper. 20% of the proceeds of the sales of the shirts will be donated to the participating US and Australian Lesbian Bars.

ABOUT GROTTO: grotto was founded in 2023 by journalist Austa Somvichian-Clausen in response to the dearth of date night options for queer women, in pursuit of creating a community focused on providing safe, beautiful and inclusive experiences for sapphics, from longer term bar residencies to themed parties, creative classes, and more. Previous grotto residencies and events have taken place at esteemed locations such as Ludlow House, Pebble Bar, the Ace Hotel and the Times Square EDITION.
